In conformity with the statutes of the Slovak Myeloma Society (SMyS), General Assembly decided on the 09 ofSeptember 2022 that since January 1, 2022, every member of SMyS (even applicant for membership) is obliged to pay the membership contribution of 10 € annually. The membership contribution stays the same, even if the membership does not last the whole calendar year (that is – the sum is not lower in case the membership started or ended in the course of the year. 

Who is obliged to pay?
- member of the organization by the 30 of September of a normal calendar year;

- applicant for membership in the organization before submitting their application. The applicant encloses evidence of payment (statement from a bank or postal order) to their application, otherwise, the application is considered to be incomplete and it cannot be debated by the board.

If the member does not pay the membership contribution within 30 days since the delivery of the formal notice, they are considered to have broken the duties of member and also an important reason based on which the board is entitled to decide about exclusion of the member from the organization.

Ways how to pay the membership contribution:
Bank transfer – on the account of SMyS
Account (IBAN): SK26 0200 0000 0021 4960 7555
SWIFT: SUBASKBX (when paying from abroad)
Constant symbol: 0308
Variable symbol: 20XX (the year for which the membership is paid)

Message for receiver: OIČ – personal identification number (number of membership card), in case of an applicant, write the full name (in one transfer, you can pay for more members but their OIČ must be all written correctly)

Postal order on the account (type RI) – on the account of SMyS

Personally in cash – SmyS issues cash receipt to the payer
Note: this is possible only for current members and only at General Assembly of SMyS (in May) or in the School of Myeloma for Patients (in September).

Notice! When paying via a post, it is the payer of membership contribution who pays the fee charged by bank.
